Checking of acoustic cleaning equipment in a biomass plant

Soluciones Integrales de Combustión  is carrying out the checking of the Nirafon acoustic cleaning equipment in a biomass plant designed to generate electricity from renewable energy sources.

The plant has a power of 17 MW and uses forest biomass as fuel from pruning and cleaning the forests, as well as by-products of agricultural activities.

The technical team of Soluciones Integrales de Combustion performs the revision of the acoustic cleaning equipment in the biomass plant, the Nirafon acoustic blowers of the aforementioned plant, where they operate in a superheated steam boiler.

Nirafon acoustic cleaning equipment and solutions remove particles from surfaces by shock with sound waves, repeating this acoustic cleaning system until the required cleaning results are obtained.

The acoustic cleaning system consists of a combination of different acoustic cleaners, chosen specifically for each application and controlled by an automatic system that prevents impurities from accumulating on surfaces and optimizes cleaning results. In this way, the desired level of cleanliness is constantly maintained in industrial facilities and boiler rooms, while production processes can continue without any interruption. Nirafon acoustic cleaning systems are the most energy efficient and they save unnecessary downtime costs in the facilities.

Depending on the temperature reached in the installation, Nirafon acoustic cleaners can be NCSD type devices, for temperatures above 1,000º C designed for boiler rooms, or pneumatic acoustic cleaners, for temperatures below 1,000º C, used in superheaters, economizers, air preheaters, evaporators, filters and boiler room fans. This equipment also prevents the formation of particle accumulations in silos and cyclones.

Nirafon acoustic cleaning systems are fully automated, and are indicated in cases where the objective is to minimize any stoppage of the facilities, improve operating efficiency and reduce emissions.
