Call for aid for the industrial decarbonization of Basque companies
New call for aid for the Industrial Decarbonization. Basque companies will be able to request aid of up to 1.5 million euros per project to undertake investments that entail the industrial decarbonization of their facilities and production processes from April 11 to June 20.
This call for aid has 20 million euros for the modernization of industrial production facilities that entail the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. These subsidies aim to support companies in the transition towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly model. Thanks to these subsidies, companies will be able to implement cleaner and more efficient technologies and processes, thus reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to the fight against climate change. This initiative is expected to boost innovation in the Basque industrial sector and encourage the creation of green jobs in the region.
The aid program is part of the Green Deal established by the European Union in 2019 with the aim of turning Europe into the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The EU has included this commitment to climate neutrality in binding legislation, establishing as an objective intermediate reduce greenhouse emissions by at least 55% compared to 1990 levels, by 2030.
Aid for the industrial decarbonization
Through Industrial Decarbonization 2024 aid, companies will be able to begin the process to convert their production facilities into plants that generate fewer greenhouse gases.
Specifically, they will be able to get up to 1.5 million euros in their investments with the following objectives:
- Buy machinery directly linked to the existing production process.
- Acquire additional auxiliary components in the existing production process.
- Improve production facilities, for example, optimizing the air conditioning or heating systems of the industrial plant.
- Acquire new establishments or production lines that do not yet exist.
- Projects that lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, such as the use of new sustainable or secondary raw materials, the management and recovery of industrial waste and the replacement of fluorinated gases.
All extractive, transforming, productive and related service industrial companies linked to the industrial product/process, whether large, medium or small, can apply for Industrial Decarbonization 2024 aid, as long as their investments are made in the centers of Euskadi.
