Change of indirect supervision period in the boiler of a paper mill
Integral Combustion Solutions (Soluciones Integrales de Combustion) has culminated the change in the indirect supervision period from 2 H to 24 H in the boiler of a paper mill, as well as the change in the electrical panel of the installation.
The modification of the shutdown protocol has led to the improvement of the factory’s industrial security, as well as the extension of the frequency period for indirect supervision of the plant.
It is a sensitive job from the point of view of electronics and instrumentation, which requires technical skills. In fact, in the case of pressure equipment, the regulation requires an adaptation project prepared by a competent technician.
Change of indirect supervision period in boilers
The regulation of pressure equipment in force in Spain (RD 2060/2008), in its fifth transitory provision, authorizes existing boilers to adapt their surveillance system to the systems indicated in article 7 of the official technical instruction, the ITC EP -1, demanding the presentation of a technical adaptation project.
The transition to indirect supervision from periods of up to 2 hours to periods of up to 24 hours or 72 hours is possible thanks to the installation of highly reliable electronic elements that allow greater control over the operating conditions of boilers and boiler rooms.
Our philosophy is to move towards a boiler management system (BMS) that reduces the number of limiters and controllers to be used, giving greater flexibility to the boiler operator. Following this philosophy, Integral Combustion Solutions (Soluciones Integrales de Combustión) has carried out numerous adaptation projects 24 hours and 72 hours with total satisfaction of our clients.
