Soluciones Integrales de Combustión (Integral Combustion Solutions), company with activities of design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems for thermal installations and steam systems in industry, has launched SICAPH combustion air preheaters (APH), designed to improve environmental, technical and economic performance.
For some years now, the Combustion Air Preheater (APH) has been used in the industry in boilers and furnaces due to its performance-enhancing qualities, once driven by membership in the Department’s recommended energy efficiency enhancement technology package of US Energy for boiler installations..
Our SICAPH preheaters are adapted to the fuel used in the boiler (from diesel and heavy or light fuel, natural gas, hydrogen …), and are designed to overcome the environmental challenge of reducing polluting emissions, while at the same time reducing the temperature of chimney outlet and save fuel.

Features of SICAPH preheaters
SICAPH preheaters designed by Integral Combustion Solutions allow the transfer of heat from the outgoing combustion gases to the fresh air that enters the burner or combustion hearth.
The design has sought a balance of parameters among which stands out:
- Minimal pressure drop to avoid drowning the draft of the system both on the smoke side and on the supply side
- Maximum possible turbulence to achieve energy efficiency above the usual average in these systems
- Low weight and robustness
Fresh air circulates inside the pipes, while exhaust gases circulate through the smoke chamber.
The fresh air pipes are of the finned type (equipped with fins serrated on the outside thereof), which increases the turbulence of the exhaust gases and also the heat exchange surface of the equipment.
The finned fresh air tubes are configured in-line and in compact blocks to achieve a high transmission coefficient and dramatically reduce the temperature of the exhaust gases.
The gas casing is made of appropriately reinforced Premium quality carbon steel sheet and arranged to avoid sealing failures.
SICAPH preheaters are fully assembled in our facilities, allowing precise quality control and in accordance with our standards and design codes.
These types of heat recovery systems are supplied finished with an anticaloric protective layer that prevents corrosion for many years.
The materials used in each SICAPH preheater are documented in the quality file that encloses traceability sheets and / or casting certificates.
