SIC implements energy efficiency technologies in a new boiler room
Soluciones Integrales de Combustión will implement energy efficiency technologies in a new boiler room after being awarded, in the first days of this year, the contract to supply the necessary equipment for a factory in the paper sector located in Madrid.
The new combustion plant designed by Soluciones Integrales de Combustión consists of a sustainable project aimed at optimizing the energy efficiency and reduction of atmospheric emissions of the facility, which is estimated to improve plant performance and gas consumption.
With this vision, the installation of the steam boiler room proposed by Soluciones Integrales de Combustión has a revaporization system, as well as a combustion gas recirculation system and a SICAPH combustion air preheater, which achieves the improvement of the technical and economic performance of the boiler room, by allowing the transfer of heat from the outgoing combustion gases, which re-enter the burner or combustion hearth.
With these three combined energy efficiency techniques, it is expected to achieve fuel savings of more than 12% in the plant.

Energy efficiency technologies
The boiler supplied by the company has a capacity to produce 6000 kg. of saturated steam at 13 bar. The facility will run on natural gas as fuel. It will be equipped with a revaporization system, where the condensates that feed the boiler converge, as well as a combustion air preheater, whose function is to improve the performance of the installation. At the same time, the preheater also reduces polluting emissions as well as the outlet temperature in the chimney.

The steam boiler room is completed with the water feed tank, pressurized condensate tank, the factory’s main steam collectors, the fan and the gas burner itself. The combustion equipment used in this boiler room corresponds to the E&M JBD 6000 model burner with low NOx emissions for natural gas.
