Boiler room cleaning with sound
The magazine Bioenergy International, specializing in the area of biomass, has echoed in its latest edition the technology we offer from Integral Combustion Solutions for boiler room cleaning with sound.
The operation of Nirafon devices, which the company distributes exclusively in Spain and Portugal, allows particles to be removed from surfaces by collision with sound waves, replacing traditional methods that operate with steam or air systems. This sound cleaning technology is used in fluid bed boilers, both circulating and bubbling, pyrotubular boilers, grill boilers, etc.
The boiler room cleaning facility is designed based on the type of biomass, as well as the ash it generates and the temperature reached in the combustion chamber. Actually, this technology can be used in any section of an installation where deposits of particles such as ash or soot are formed.
Another feature of the system is that the diffuser of the acoustic wave can be oriented, so that the wave is reflected on the surfaces reaching difficult areas such as corners or marginal areas. The equipment works with natural gas, which causes microexplosions to generate the acoustic wave, with frequencies between 60 and 250 Hz.
Boiler room cleaning technologies with sound
The NCSD device withstands temperatures above 1,000ºC, with a maximum of 1,500ºC. Thanks to a special alloy it keeps the heat transfer surfaces clean, even if there are solidified or molten ashes.
Pneumatic acoustic devices. To clean sections of the plant where the working temperature is below 1000ºC – superheaters, economizers, air preheaters, evaporators, filters and fans – and prevent the accumulation of particles in silos and bag filters.
ADVANTAGES OF THE ACOUSTIC CLEANING SYSTEM
- Save process steam for cleaning
- The boiler works at all times; It is not necessary to stop to clean.
- It does not cause erosion damage on the surfaces on which it acts.
- It does not take up much space, as existing records are used for placement.
- It can be used in combination with existing cleaning systems.
- It requires little maintenance due to the lack of moving parts
