Lifting maneuver and placement of the separator
Soluciones Integrales de Combustión has successfully carried out the lifting maneuver and placement of the separator in a biogas plant for the food industry in Valencia. This project, which is part of an industrial process optimization plan, reinforces the company’s commitment to efficiency and sustainability in the food sector.
The separator will be integrated into the anaerobic digestion system of the facilities, responsible for purifying the effluents from the manufacturing process, through which biogas is generated. This biogas generated in its production processes is reused as fuel, allowing the plant to reduce natural gas consumption. This initiative has also allowed the reduction of the consumption of chemical products and improved the quality of discharges into public waterways, which leads to more sustainable production.
Lifting maneuver and placement of the separator
The complex lifting maneuver has been carried out with high precision equipment and under strict safety protocols, ensuring that each phase of the process was carried out impeccably.
In this context, the maneuver of lifting and placing the separator by our industrial combustion engineering company represents a milestone in the challenge of achieving the environmental sustainability of the plant and advancing its circular economy, through which it will progressively replace the consumption of natural gas by biogas.
The separators are aimed at improving the properties of the substrate and reduce volumes, by generating less waste in the fermentation waste tank.

What type of fuel is biogas?
Biogas is an energy-rich mixture of gases considered as an environmentally friendly energy source, among the sustainable and regenerative energies of the future. Biogas is produced in the absence of air when organic matter, such as manure, slurry, or agricultural and industrial waste and biodegradable waste, decomposes naturally.
Biogas provides countless advantages over other types of fuel, and because it has a neutral balance of carbon emissions, it is available at any time in a decentralized manner and favors energy independence in many areas. On the other hand, energy from biogas stabilizes the fuel supply, since it can be produced when needed and completely independent of weather conditions and the time of day.
Biogas, renewable energy of the future

Biogas reinforces its role as a credible alternative to natural gas. This relatively new and under-exploited energy has already begun the gradual creation of a value chain around it which, however, will have to face numerous obstacles to surpass fossil energies.
Furthermore, in times of scarcity of sustainable energy and uncertainty due to the evolution of fuel prices, it is more than reasonable to take advantage of available waste to convert it into energy, although it is still far from replacing fossil fuels such as natural gas. It will have to overcome the main challenges it faces in its expansion, which is still limited, such as reducing the cost of production and eliminating the smell in the vicinity of the methanization units,
The contribution of the energy engineering company Soluciones Integrales de Combustion to the biogas value chain is aimed at the final phase of energy use of biogas, with the design, supply, installation and commissioning, maintenance and repair of the thermal and combustion plants that operate with this type of fuel, as well as the instrumentation and control systems of the plants.
Soluciones Integrales de Combustion, with extensive experience in the industry, is proud to be a strategic partner in projects that drive innovation and development in key sectors such as food.
