Modernization of a thermal installation to optimize its performance
The company Soluciones Integrales de Combustion is carrying out the modernization of a thermal installation for the paper industry, with the aim of achieving a 5% increase in the performance of said plant.
To achieve this energy saving in the plant, Soluciones Integrales de Combustion, an engineering company specialized in EPC projects for the supply and commissioning of energy facilities, has installed a SICAPH combustion air preheater, of its own design, and is proceeding with thermal insulation. equipment to optimize its performance.
It must be taken into account that the thermal insulation works provide considerable energy savings and do so in very short amortization periods, significantly improving the performance of the equipment. Thus, not only are energy losses reduced with these insulations, but they also help reduce risks of accidental contact with surfaces that reach high temperatures.
Modernization of a thermal installation
Within this process of modernizing the thermal installation, Soluciones Integrales de Combustion has installed a SICAPH combustion air preheater, a type of device used in the boiler and furnace industry due to its qualities of improving energy efficiency in thermal installations and steam.
SICAPH Preheaters
SICAPH preheaters designed by Soluciones Integrales de Combustion allow heat recovery, by transferring the heat of the exhaust gases that thus enter the burner or combustion hearth, a method that contributes to reducing polluting emissions into the atmosphere. Its design allows maximum turbulence to achieve energy efficiency above the usual average in these systems.
Among its main characteristics, in addition to saving fuel by allowing energy recovery, is has a role in reducing polluting emissions, as well as in the chimney outlet temperature, thereby also improving environmental performance.
In addition to that, SICAPH preheaters are designed to operate with all types of fuels, from traditional fossil fuels to renewable energies, such as biomass, biogas and hydrogen.
