Work in progress: pressurized tank for the cardboard industry
We began assembling the structural platforms for a pressurized tank to optimize an industrial application in the cardboard industry. The equipment is designed to store water at an internal pressure above atmospheric pressure, and is designed to optimize energy efficiency.
The installation of the pressurized tank is part of the commissioning work for a new combustion plant designed by Soluciones Integrales de Combustión, as part of a sustainable project aimed at optimizing the facility’s energy efficiency and reducing atmospheric emissions. The project’s objective is to improve the plant’s performance and gas consumption.
Thus, the proposed boiler room installation will include a re-vaporization system that will allow the reuse of energy contained in the hot condensate, reducing heat loss and improving the efficiency of the steam system.

Likewise, with the aim of improving energy efficiency in the new boiler room, the facility will feature a Combustion gas recirculation system and a SICAPH combustion air preheater, which improves the technical and economic performance of the boilers by allowing the heat contained in the combustion gases to be transferred back into the system.

With these measures, fuel savings of more than 12% are expected through the implementation of these energy efficiency techniques.

The boiler, capable of producing 6,000 kg of saturated steam at 13 bar, along with the feedwater tank, the condensate pressurization tank, the factory’s main steam collectors, the fan, and the natural gas burner operating at the plant, play an important role in these expected results.

The combustion equipment used is an E&MC JBD 6000 modulating burner model with low NOx emissions for natural gas, capable of operating automatically, controlling correct combustion by maintaining the stability of the flame and the fuel-oxidant mixture, thereby achieving constant and regulated combustion.
