Valorization and recovery of industrial chemical waste
Soluciones Integrales de Combustión is participating in the technological upgrade of an industrial chemical waste recovery and valorization plant. The thermal engineering company has installed the heating system for the fractionation towers there, where new solvents are primarily obtained and waste is recovered.
The technological upgrade is part of a sustainable circular economy project through which distillers manage the treatment of industrial waste from chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, and paint processes, with the goal of recovering it as new raw materials.
The industrial chemical waste valorization and recovery plant has a production capacity of over 80,000 tons per year in the areas of solvent valorization and water treatment, as well as in the treatment and management of industrial waste.
Solvents recovered through distillation are used to formulate new solvents or are returned to the client company according to its specifications.

The heating system implemented by Soluciones Integrales de Combustión operates in the fractionation column, an essential element used in chemical process distilleries with large volumes of liquid mixtures. This separates the mixture into components, or fractions, based on the different volatilities of the components, which are deposited and condensed on the trays or plates within the column.
In this process, the steam generated during the heating process will be used as heating energy in the distillers and fractionation columns at the industrial waste treatment and management plant. Steam continues to be one of the most widely used fluids in industrial production processes.
In this industrial chemical waste valorization and recovery plant, the steam generated by the boiler and burner (a mixed JBD 11.500-GLO model, with air atomisation to operate with recycled oil and liquefied natural gas -LNG) is deployed through the looped pipes or lyres to facilitate thermal dispersion, protecting the instrumentation equipment that measures the pressure of the pipes through which the steam circulates from heat and pressure surges in the circuit.
