Soluciones Integrales de Combustión undertakes the repair of the economizer of a water-tube boiler, the mechanical device that works as a heat exchanger, aimed at reducing energy consumption and improving performance.

The economizers consist of a system of coils where the water is heated prior to entering the boiler, and whose objective is aimed at saving costs and energy in industrial plants through the use of gases produced in combustion as heating element. According to the company’s experience, the efficiency of its boilers reaches up to 91% and reaches up to 95% with the use of an economizer.

The operation of the economizers used in industrial boilers is responsible for taking advantage of the residual heat of the combustion gases, transferring that heat to the boiler feed water, thereby reducing fuel consumption and improving the performance of the installation considerably.

In this way, by increasing the temperature of the water caused by the economizer, a lesser amount of heat is required to produce its vaporization.

Water-tube boilers operation

In water-tube boilers, the water circulates inside the tubes, while the combustion fumes circulate outside the tubes. They consist of a bundle of tubes through which the water circulates and which is traversed on the outside by the flow of hot gases from combustion. The use of this type of water tube boilers is especially suitable for high pressures and temperatures and to produce steam from 50 T / h.

Despite their greater sensitivity to load and pressure fluctuations, water-tube boilers have the advantage of being able to vaporize the water quickly. They allow better adaptation to occasional or sporadic consumptions thanks to the reduced volume of water found inside the tubes.

In the process, the water enters the economizer where it is heated to a temperature close to saturation, after which it is introduced into the boiler and descends through the irrigation pipes to the lower collector, distributing to the vaporizing pipes where the steam.
