Objective: reduce the uncertainty of energy costs in the paper plant
With the aim of reduce the uncertainty of energy costs in the plant, the thermal engineering company Soluciones Integrales de Combusción (SIC) installs a mixed propane-natural gas burner in a paper factory in Alicante. The company thus proceeds to replace the existing gas burner with a mixed equipment, capable of operating either with propane or with natural gas, which will allow fuel consumption to be adjusted to market fuel costs, with the aim of maintaining the plant competitiveness.
The installed equipment is a JBD 6000 duoblock burner, a model that can operate with liquid and gaseous fuels, and mixed fuels, as in this project. JBD burners are prepared to overcome high overpressures in the combustion chamber, use a double air register and have low NOx emissions. At the same time, these burners designed and manufactured by E&M Combustión have different flame lengths and shapes depending on the adjustment of the air registers and the differentiated manufacturing of the types of heads.
Reduce the uncertainty of energy costs in the plant
In this way, Integral Combustion Solutions provides a response to the challenges of improving the energy efficiency of its industrial clients, with the implementation of innovative combustion technologies with mixed burners, which are a good formula to optimize energy savings, through these burners. duals that can automatically switch from using one fuel to another, depending on energy costs.
Combustion equipment is in a permanent process of innovation and technological development because it has to respond to the challenges of environmental regulations and market costs, and at the same time it must adapt to the specific needs of each client in its combustion processes.
In recent weeks, Soluciones Integrales de Combustión has launched a steam boiler with mixed gas-biogas fuel in a beverage plant, with the aim of gradually replacing the consumption of fossil fuels with a sustainable fuel. The company has commissioned a boiler room in a cardboard factory in Morocco, which operates with propane, and has updated the combustion system in a food factory in Indonesia, which has mixed gas-biogas burners. In this way the plant will be able to use the biogas itself generated in the plant.
In addition, the company has undertaken the installation of a biomass boiler in a food plant, as well as a steam boiler with mixed gas-biogas fuel for a company in the food industry.
